Annual Block Party: please join us for our annual Block Party this year on Saturday, September 26 from 4-7 pm (rain date will be October 3). This event is always a ton of fun, especially for the kids! Dinner will be provided, as well as ice cream, visits by the Blue Springs Police Dept and the CJC Fire District, and door prizes will be awarded. We will have face painting, a balloon artist, a fishing contest for the kids, and a bounce house (assuming we can have enough volunteers sign up to help monitor it (see below).

The kids’ fishing derby will be from 5-6 pm, 3 prizes available. Kids must be 17 years old or younger to participate.  Door prizes for the adults attending (must be present to win) will be awarded at 5:30 pm.

We will be located at NE Stonebridge cul-de-sac and NE 2nd St (the entire street will be closed down). Please come and meet your neighbors—bring your lawn chairs and favorite adult beverage. See you there!

Asking for help with the Bounce House again this year:

We are asking for help again this year for assistance at the Block Party on September 26. As most of you know by now, the Bounce House has to be manned for the safety of our kids and we just don’t have enough board members to be everywhere at once. If we don’t have enough volunteers, it may prevent us from having the house there this year. And we definitely don’t want that to happen; along with our balloon and face painting artists, this is one of the most popular attractions. We need at least one volunteer per half hour (2 would be even better), to make sure the kids take their shoes off, don’t take food or drink in the house, and allow enough time between them on the slide.

Here is the link to our Sign Up Genius list. We will leave it up from September 4 - 18. Thanks in advance for your help with this!

We have an exciting new opportunity for our children this year at the Block Party on September 26th! This was brought to us by a young man in our neighborhood. There will be a separate table set up for this event at the party and we are hoping our youngsters will be excited about this new opportunity:

NEW AT THIS YEAR’S STONEBRIDGE COMMUNITY BLOCK PARTY: KIDS’ TOY SWAP MEET!

This year, we’re hoping to add a fun new activity just for our neighborhood kids — a Kids’ Toy Swap Meet!

The idea was brought to us by one of our own young Stonebridge residents, Jameson Shinn, who wanted to create a way for kids to have something of their own to participate in during the Block Party while meeting and interacting with other kids in the neighborhood.

How does it work?

Kids can bring a few gently used toys, games, books, puzzles, trading cards, or other kid-friendly items they no longer use and swap them with other neighborhood kids for something new-to-them!

No money. No buying. No selling. Just swapping!

It’s a simple way for kids to:

• Meet and interact with other neighborhood kids

• Give old toys, books, and games a second life

• Practice sharing, trading, and making their own choices

• Find something “new” without having to buy something new

• Have another fun reason to join us at the Block Party!

Parents and guardians will remain responsible for supervising their children and helping with trades as needed.

So start looking through those toy boxes, bookshelves, game closets, and trading-card collections and see what your kids might be ready to pass along!

BRING IT. SWAP IT. ENJOY IT.

We can’t wait to see our Stonebridge kids trading, sharing, and having fun together at this year’s Community Block Party!

Our next HOA meeting will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Lunar Bowl at 7 pm in the Full Moon Lounge. All residents encouraged and welcome to attend. Please come and meet your neighbors and HOA Board. Children welcome!

Hope to see you there!
